COMMISSION TO SUMMON OFFICIALS OVER GAS CRISIS

SANA'A, Jan. 25 (Saba) - The Supreme National Anti-Corruption
Commission approved on Monday to summon next Wednesday director
general of Yemen Gas Company and other company officials over an
acute gas shortage as well as manipulating gas prices.

The meeting chaired by deputy president of the commission Belques
Abu Osba'a discussed gas price manipulation and monopolizing gas
that led to a gas crisis hitting the country for weeks.

The meeting also dealt with the issue that some gas store owners are
exploiting the situation, selling a gas cylinder for more than
double its fixed price.
