WFP $80 MLN PLAN TO HELP DISPLACED IN YEMEN



SANA'A, Jan.25 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population
Abdul-Karim Rase'a met here on Monday with the WFP's Regional
Director for the Middle East, Central Asia and Eastern Europe Daly
Belgasmi, who is currently visiting Yemen.

The two sides dealt with the WFP's plan for 2010 estimated at $80
million to help the displaced people due to the insurgency war in
Saada province, northern Yemen, provided that to urge the donor
countries to complete the amount required to fill the gap in the
program plan.

In the meeting, they discussed the joint cooperation relations
between the ministry and the program and ways of enhancing them and
the relief efforts exerted by the program to present the food aid to
the displaced in the displacement areas.

In the meeting, Rase'a valued the program's efforts in Yemen and its
effective presence from the very beginning of the exodus of the
people affected by the subversion war in Saada province.
