YEMEN, GTZ DISCUSS SENDING ANTI-CORRUPTION EXPERTS

SANA'A, Jan. 26 (Saba) - Yemen and GTZ discussed here on Tuesday
sending German experts next February for explaining ways for
measuring corruption indicator according to international standards.

Deputy Chairman of Supreme National Authority for Combating
Corruption (SNACC) Balqis Abu Usb'a and the senior advisor of
development program in Yemen-GTZ cooperation program agreed on
organizing a workshop for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on
combating corruption in Yemen.

The workshop, which will be supported by the GTZ, aims at
heightening Yemen's indicator internationally in combating
corruption.

They talked about the mechanism of national team which includes a
number of experts from law field in order to help the SNACC in
carrying out studies for comparing UN agreement of combating
corruption with the Yemeni laws.

The two sides also agreed on holding a meeting in the coming week
between the SNACC and national team members for this regard.
