YEMEN'S TRIBES REFUSE FOREIGN INTERFERENCE IN INTERNAL AFFAIRES
SANA'A, Jan 26 (Saba) - Yemeni tribes refused on Tuesday any foreign
interference in Yemen's internal affaires.
In press release issued after concluding an enlarged meeting held in
Sana'a, Yemeni sheiks underlined the significance of respecting
Yemen's sovereignty and independence, stressing that Yemen's
problems must be solved internally.
The meeting chaired by Shura council member Sadeq Abdullah bin
Hussein al-Ahmar also rejected absolutely all terrorist and sabotage
acts, noting that such acts might be used as a pretext for foreign
interference in the internal affaires under a cause of "combating
terror".
It is worth to mention that the Yemeni Cleric Association has stated
its refusal of foreign military existence in Yemeni territories.
This comes after an announcement of US President Barack Obama,
affirming that US troops will not be sent to Yemen.
President Obama has said that he has no intention of sending
American troops to Yemen.
The U.S., however, has raised its development and security aid to
Yemen to $ 150 million this year.
