Samsung Electronics VP found dead
SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- A vice president of Samsung Electronics Co. has been found dead in front of his apartment building in southern Seoul, police said Wednesday.
The 51-year old senior executive, identified by his surname Lee, was found
bleeding by an apartment security guard earlier Tuesday, according to police.
Police said they are investigating the death, but believe he committed suicide by
throwing himself from his apartment. He left a note saying he was under a heavy
burden at work.
Lee joined the South Korean electronics giant in 1992, and worked at its
semiconductor and flash memory division. He was chosen as a "Samsung Fellow" of
the world's largest memory chipmaker in 2006, according to company officials.
