Pakistan Nigeria to further boost defence ties
Rawalpindi June 18 PPI: Pakistan and Nigeria expressed desire to further boost and expand bilateral cooperation in various fields including defence for mutual benefit.
This was agreed in talks between Defence Minister Chaudhary Ahmad Mukhtar and
visiting Nigerian Naval Chief Vice Admiral GTA Adekeye here Tuesday. They exchanged
views on existing level of defence cooperation and stressed need for enhanced
collaboration and closer interaction between Navies of both countries.
Mukhtar said Pakistan attached utmost significance to its ties with Nigeria and
wanted to further promote cooperation in trade economy and defence. He spoke of
Pakistan defence industry's potential.
The two sides agreed to increase cooperation in training to benefit from each
other's experience.
Vice Admiral GTA Adekeye hoped his visit will further cement cooperation between two
