Nong Shim 2009 net jumps 62 pct on increased sales
SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- Nong Shim Co., South Korea's biggest instant-noodle
maker, said Wednesday that its earnings jumped 62 percent last year on the back
of increased sales.
Net profit reached 128 billion won (US$110 million) last year, compared with 78.5
billion won a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Sales increased 10.1 percent to 1.85 trillion won and operating income edged up
3.9 percent to 105 billion won.
Shares of Nong Shim closed at 237,500 won on the Seoul bourse, down 2.46 percent.
The earnings was released after the market closed.
