Jeddah Chamber Official Meets Chinese and Canadian Trade Delegations
Jeddah, January 27, 2010, SPA -- Advisor Mustafa Sabri, the Secretary General
of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry met separately here today with
Chinese and Canadian Trade Delegations.
During the meetings, they discussed aspects of cooperation between businessmen
in the two countries as well as joint investments and increase of trade
exchanges.
Saudi Commercial Attaché in China Khaled Al-Hulwani attended the meeting with
the Chinese delegation headed by Chan Vi, Executive Director of Beijing Limited
Company for Heritage and Science.
Advisor Sabri said that trade exchanges between Saudi Arabia and China amounted
to $ 28 billion in 2008, an increase of 8% in comparison with the previous
year, and it was in favor of the Saudi market by 64%.
As for Canada, the trade exchanges between the two countries amounted to $ 700
million, according to statistics in 2006, he noted.
