YEMENI-BRITISH-US TALKS HELD IN LONDON



LONDON, Jan. 28 (Saba) - Yemen and Britain and the United States held an official talks late on Wednesday in the British capital, London.

The talks bring together Minister of Planning and Intentional Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi, advisor of the US Treasury Department William McDonald, advisor of the British Treasury, director of Middle East Affairs in UK British Department for International Development Donald Dailin and number of British officials.

The talks held on the sidelines of London meeting on Yemen focused on economic and financial challenges facing Yemen as well as following up the procedures to implement reforms.

The meeting discussed several issues, topped by Yemeni-British-US cooperation and Yemeni cooperation with World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The US and British officials confirmed their entire support for the Yemeni government to meet with the development needs under the current situation.

On the other hand, al-Arhabi has discussed with director general of International Monetary Fund (IMF) Masood Ahmed the cooperation aspects between Yemen and the fund and the future aids aims at supporting development sector in the country.

Worth to mentioning that a meeting on Yemen was held on Wednesday in London, the British capital, aimed at mobilizing efforts to assist Yemen in its development, socio-economic reforms and counter-terrorism efforts.

The meeting addressed Yemen's growing challenges, that if not addressed, risk threatening the stability of the country and broader region.
