S-Oil narrows loss in Q4 on increased sales

SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Yonhap) -- S-Oil Corp., South Korea's third-largest refiner, said
Friday that it cut back its net loss in the fourth quarter from a year ago on the
back of increased sales.

The company's net loss came to 57.9 billion won (US$50 million) in the
October-December period, compared with 187.1 billion won a year ago, S-Oil said
in a regulatory filing.
Sales rose 6 percent on-year to 4.86 trillion won in the period, while operating
loss narrowed to 45.6 billion won from a loss of 128.3 billion won.
