40 PEOPLE KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS LAST WEEK

SANA'A. Jan.30 (Saba)-Some 40 persons died and other 289 injured in
276 traffic accidents happened across the country last week.

According to a report of the traffic department, the accidents
resulted in material losses at around YR 44 million.

The report attributed these accidents to over speed, recklessness,
wrong overtaking, and the lack of periodical maintenance.
