MSF: Apology to Yemen on wrong report on health condition of IDPs
SANA'A, Jan. 30
(Saba) - Medicines Sans Frontieres (MSF) confirmed its apology f on the inaccurate
information
mentioned in its report on the medical and humanitarian condition for internal
displaced persons IDPs in Hajjah, Amran and al-Jawf provinces.
In his statement to Saba after holding a meeting with Minister of Public Health and
Population, the MSF Director of Operations said that the organization said sorry
because
that report and it is not liable for the manner the media dealt with what stated in
its report.
The organization acknowledged that information over health services presented to
the IDPs in these provinces was not correct, and it did not investigate the
accuracy, he
said.
He expressed thank you for the cooperation and support offered to the organization
by the Ministry of Public Health and Population to do its humanitarian tasks in
Saada
province.
He concluded his statement by saying that the organization would sign a cooperation
agreement with the ministry to enhance services presented by the organization for
the
IDPs who left their homes because of the rebellion.
