VP: GOVERNMENT TO CONTINUE OFFERING CARE FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
SANA'A, Jan. 31 (Saba)- Vice President Abduh Raboh Mansor Hadi said
that the political leadership and government would continue its care
for disabled people and people of special needs to integrate them in
society.
Addressing a ceremony held in Sana'a to mark Arab Day for Disabled
People, Hadi conveyed regards of president Saleh to the attendants
and his appreciation exerted during the few years ago to integrate
these people in the society to be active member in building the
nation.
He affirmed that the government would focus in coming period on
changing the disabled people from to be dependable persons.
Hadi pointed out that the government would continue building of
centers for disabled people and people of special needs.
Moreover, the vice president said that the country is suffering from
people who have disable in their minds and souls, and try to
restrict development process to build modern and unified Yemen by
creating sectarian strife, regionalism and abhorrence among sons of
the nation.
For her part, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amt al Razaq
Homad pointed out to the legal achievements related to such category
of the society, saying that the republican decree No.25/1991 stated
forming the national committee of offering care for disabled people
headed by prime minister.
A law No.2/2002 states to set up fund for caring disabled people,
she added.
In the ceremony, art shows and poems were presented by disabled
people in addition to an exhibition for the products made by
societies which offer care for these people was opened.
