Saudi Pavilion in Cairo organizes Seminar on King`s Initiative for Dialogue among Religions` Followers
Cairo, January 31, 2010, SPA -- The Saudi Pavilion at Cairo International
Book Fair organized here last night in the presence of Saudi ambassador to
Egypt Hisham Nazir, a seminar on the initiative of the Custodian of the Two
Holy Mosques for dialogue among followers of religions and cultures.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Adel Al-Sheddi, the Secretary-General of the
global program for introducing the Prophet of Mercy, said the initiative will
have a positive impact as regards spreading the human values and enhancing
understanding among the followers of religions and cultures.
He noted that the initiative is directly linked with the principles of the Holy
Quran and the Sunnah (the Prophet’s teachings) which advocate cooperation and
understanding among the people.
Dr. Al-Sheddi said King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz, has presented the Initiative
taking into account his role as regards serving the Two Holy Mosques, as well
as the Kingdom's role in the service of the Arab and Muslim causes.
The Kingdom, in line with its religious and political weight, is capable of
shouldering its role as regards the initiative, he said.
