Crown Prince receives Mufti and KSU Rector

Riyadh, January 31, 2010, SPA --Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General received
at his palace here today Kingdom's Mufti-General and Chairman of Senior Scholar
Council and Scholarly Research and Ifta Department Sheikh Abdulaziz bin
Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, who is also Supervisor-General of Prince Sultan bin
Abdulaziz Chair for Contemporary Islamic Studies at King Saud University (KSU),
the University's Rector Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman and the Chair's
members.

At the outset of the audience, the Crown Prince expressed his thanks to and
appreciation of the Mufti-General and members of the Chair for their hard and
sincere works in the service of Islam and wished all success for them, praising
the progress made by the University in Research Chairs and other developmental
programs, resulted in the University's progress in the world rankings and its
accomplishments, including its access to the list of global top 500
universities in Shanghai classification, registering the only Arab presence
there.
The audience listened to the directives of the Crown Prince and his assertion
that studies and researches within the Chair will be distinguished scientific
additions in studying various Islamic issues and addressing them.

On his part, the Mufti-General expressed his thanks to the Crown Prince for his
generous support and wise directives in the service of Islam and Muslims all
over the world, noting that the Chair aims to confirm the principle of
moderation in Islam and tolerance of its teachings.
In another speech, the University's Rector expressed his best thanks to the
Crown Prince for his unlimited support for the University through financing its
various research centers.
The audience was attended by Prince Dr. Misha'al bin Abdullah bin Musaed,
Advisor to the Crown Prince; Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Musaed
bin Mohammed Al-Eiban and a number of officials.
