Hyundai Mobis sees 24 pct sales jump in 2010
SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Mobis Co., South Korea's largest auto-parts
maker, said Monday it expects to boost sales by 24 percent this year, thanks to
growing sales of its affiliates Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp.
Hyundai Mobis is targeting sales of 21 trillion won (US$18 billion) in 2010,
compared with 17 trillion won in 2009, the company said in a statement.
Domestic sales are likely to rise 10 percent to 11.7 trillion won this year.
Overseas sales are expected to jump 33 percent to $8.9 billion, according to the
statement.
Hyundai Mobis plans to invest 940 billion won this year with capital expenditure
on research and development totaling 320 billion won, the statement said.
