GM Daewoo's auto sales rise 22.5 pct in January

SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co., the South Korean unit
of General Motors Co., said Monday it sold 56,281 units last month, up 22.5
percent from a year earlier.

Domestic sales at GM Daewoo gained 31.1 percent to 9,062 units in January, and
exports rose 21 percent to 47,219 units, the company said in a statement.
