Renault Samsung's auto sales surge 65.6 pct in Jan

SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- Renault Samsung Motors Co., the South Korean unit of
French automaker Renault SA, said Monday it sold 18,676 vehicles last month, up
65.6 percent from a year ago.

Domestic sales at Renault Samsung, the second-smallest carmaker in South Korea,
jumped 74.6 percent to 14,004 units in January. Exports rose 43.4 percent to
4,672 units, the company said in a statement.
