Israeli gunboats target Palestinian fishing boats

Gaza Strip, Palestine, February 01, 2010 SPA -- Israeli occupation army
gunboats today opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of the
Gaza Strip.


Palestinian sources indicated that the Israeli occupation army boats that
patrol the sea round-the-clock opened fire on fishing boats off the shores of
the regions of Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah in central Gaza causing material
damages. The firing did not cause any injuries.


It is worth mentioning that the occupation boats target, almost on a daily
basis, fishermen in the Gaza Strip in an attempt to prevent them from
practicing the profession of fishing that they depend on to facilitate their
daily needs and lives.
