Iran, S. Korea discuss ties in cooperative sector
TEHRAN, Feb. 2 (MNA) –- The secretary general of Iran Central Chamber of Cooperative met the South Korean ambassador to Tehran and discussed ways to enhance economic ties particularly in the cooperative sector.
Hossein Rahmani-Nia described the $9.5 billion trade between the two countries last year as satisfactory and said efforts should be made to enhance trade relations further.
In the meeting, the Iranian official outlined the duties and responsibilities of Iran Central Chamber of Cooperative and explained its expanding role in the national economy.
South Korean Ambassador to Tehran Kim Young-mok said that thanks to a developed cooperative sector South Korea has attained economic flourish.
Tehran and Seoul can strengthen their economic and trade relations through boosting links in the cooperative sector, he noted.
The Korean official invited representatives of Iran's cooperative sector to South Korea in a bid to exchange experience and get acquainted with each other's potentials.
