KACST AND KAUST Hold Meeting
Riyadh, February 02, 2010, SPA -- King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) held on Monday the first scientific meeting of its kind in cooperation with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), for discussion of a number of scientific researches conducted by King Abdullah University with U.S. Stanford and Cornell Universities.
The City aims to coordinate and cooperate with all governmental sectors and
universities including King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, for
the enhancement of scientific researches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In his lecture, Dr. Michael Maqi from Stanford University reviewed a study,
backed by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, on solar cells
that can be built by using organic molecules, pointing out that this study uses
micro-nano-technology to reduce the cost of solar cells up to ten times.
