Maeil Dairy to donate powdered milk to children in Haiti
SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) -- Maeil Dairy Co. said Wednesday that it will deliver 10,000 kilograms of powdered milk to children in Haiti suffering the aftereffects of a massive earthquake in the Caribbean country.
The powdered milk, enough to feed 1,000 children for a month, will be provided
through the international relief body, Good Neighbors International.
Maeil plans to ship out the donation next Tuesday to the port of Busan before the
relief goods arrive in Haiti via Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Employees and customers of Maeil Dairy have chipped in shipping expenses of 13
million won (US$11,265), the company said.
