Hanwha says it has no plan to buy Hynix

SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) -- Hanwha Group, South Korea's 10th-largest conglomerate,
said Wednesday it has no plans to buy Hynix Semiconductor Co., the world's second
largest chipmaker.

The group, whose business include chemicals, explosives, insurance and
construction, made the announcement in a regulatory filing, responding to a
request in the previous day by bourse operator Korea Exchange to make public its
position on recent rumors.
