S. Korean customs office exports US$16 mln clearing system to Ecuador

SEOUL, Feb. 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will export its US$16 million electronic
customs-clearance system to Ecuador, laying the groundwork for more sales to
other Latin American nations, the customs office said Wednesday.

The Korea Customs Service said in a statement that it has reached a deal with its
Ecuadorian counterpart to sell its UNI-PASS, an advanced electronic system known
for its efficiency in handling trade.
The customs office will also export its "Single Window" system, which allows all
related procedures for trade, quarantine and other services to be processed on a
one-stop platform, it added.
