Pakistan says no new list received from U.S. to arrest terrorists

Islamabad, June 21 PPI: The government of Pakistan has received no new list from United States about the arrest of terrorists, Adviser to Prime Minister on Interior Rahman Malik said on Friday.

He told a private television channel that reports in this regard are ``totally
incorrect. Pakistani law enforcement and investigation agencies have the ability to
deal with terrorists and they are doing their job efficiently.

``We are probing and those arrested after investigation will have to undergo trials
in Pakistan. If found guilty they would be punished according to law of land and if
found innocent they will be acquitted,'' Rahman Malik stated.

Responding to some statements about the presence of Osama Bin Loden in Pakistan's
territory he said, ``in our opinion he is not in Pakistan's area and those who say
about his presence in Pakistan should present the evidence.''

To another question he said as Afghan President Hamid Karzai stated he has said
nothing about pushing Afghan troops into Pakistan's areas for action the debate in
this regard should come to an end. Peace in region is in mutual interests of both
Pakistan and Afghanistan, he observed.
