Yonhap releases iPhone apps to browse news in Japanese, Chinese

SEOUL, Feb. 4 (Yonhap) -- Yonhap News Agency said Thursday it has launched a free
news reader for Apple Inc.'s iPhone to provide content in Japanese and Chinese.
Yonhap launched a free application for the iPhone that allows users to browse
Japanese and Chinese news published by Yonhap, after it started its English
service for iPhone users last month. The applications can be downloaded via the
iTunes store.
The new apps allow readers to have 24-hour access to real-time wire news, the
company said. It also offers a photo service and a search function for articles
up to three days old.
Yonhap is a leading media organization in South Korea that has built a global
news-gathering network with more than 40 correspondents abroad -- the largest
worldwide team for a South Korean media company.
