YEMEN, SOMALIA FMS DISCUSS DEVELOPMENTS IN SOMALIA

SANA'A, Feb.04 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi discussed here on Thursday with his Somali counterpart Ali Ahmed Jama the recent developments in Somalia and the recent African summit' results.

In the meeting, al-Qirbi renewed Yemen's supportive position towards the Somali people and their leadership to achieve peace, security and stability.

He affirmed that the Somali issue gets a large support and care from the Yemeni political leadership at the level of convergence between the Somali factions and strengthening the capacities of the interim government in the security field and receiving Somali refugees in Yemen, despite the challenges Yemen faces.

For his part, the Somali minister expressed his appreciation for the Yemen's positions towards his country. He reviewed the conditions in Somalia and the Somali government's efforts to maintain security and stability as well as the international support offered to the interim government.
