GM Daewoo names Tim Lee as chairman of board

SEOUL, Feb. 5 (Yonhap) -- GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co., the South Korean unit
of General Motors Co., said Friday it has named Tim Lee, head of GM's
international operations, as chairman of its board.

"GM Daewoo's product line-up and manufacturing capability are integral to the
success of GM worldwide," Lee said in a statement. "I look forward to addressing
the board's tasks quickly with the cooperation of our partners."
Lee succeeded Nick Reilly, who was appointed as GM's Opel division last month.
Lee joined GM in 1969 and has served in various capacities, including
manufacturing and labor relations in North America and Asia Pacific.
In the statement, Mike Arcamone, chief executive of GM Daewoo, said Lee "will
contribute to the profitability and successful future of our company."
