Yemen, UN discuss climate, MDGs issues
NEW YORK, Feb. 06 (Saba) - Yemen, the
rotating president of the Group of 77 and China, and the United Nations have
discussed in New
York issues of the climate change phenomenon and achieving the millennium
development goals MDGs.
Permanent Representative of Yemen to the United Nations (UN) Abdullah al-Saydi held
talks with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon over the preparations of the coming
UN
conference on biodiversity, which is one of the big challenges facing the
international community nowadays.
The UN Secretary-General has praised Yemen presidency over the Group of 77 and
China as well as keeping guard over the developing countries' interests in the
international
events.
