Mubarak receives commander of republican guards

CAIRO, Feb.06 (Saba)-President of
Egypt Hosni Mubarak received on Saturday commander of republican guards Ahmed Ali
Abdullah
Saleh who handed over a letter to the Egyptian leader from President Ali Abdullah
Saleh over bilateral relations between Yemen and Egypt.
The letter also dealt with fields of the mutual cooperation between the two nations
and issues of common concern in addition to the latest regional and international
developments.
In the meeting, the Egyptian president renewed position of Egypt which supports
unity and stability of Yemen and rejection for foreign intervention in the internal
affairs
of Yemen.
For his part, the commander of republican guards expressed appreciation of Yemen
for the Egyptian stance.
Meanwhile, the commander of the republican guards met Egyptian minister of defense
Mohammed Tantawi and chairman of Egyptian intelligence Amr Suliman over mutual
cooperation
between Yemen and Egypt.
On the other hand, the Commander of the Republican Guards and Special Forces paid a
visit the Yemeni war-injured soldiers who are receiving treatment in the hospitals
of
the Egyptian military forces.
