NEW GOVERNOR OF SAADA APPOINTED

SANA'A, Feb. 06 (Saba) - A republican decree No. (9) for 2010 was
issued on Saturday assigning a new governor of Saada province as
follows:

The President of the Republic:

Having reviewed the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the Law
No. (18) for 2008 on amending some of articles of the Law No. (4)
for 2000 on the local authority and its amendments, the republican
decree No. (50) for 2007 on forming the government and its
amendments and according to the presentation of the Local
Administration Minister on the reasons that have prevented a
governor election, it was decided:

Article (1): Taha Abdullah Hajer is assigned as a governor of Saada
province.

Article (2): This decree shall be in effect from the date of
issuance and shall be published in the Gazette.

It was issued by the Presidency of Republic in Sana'a on February 6,
2010.

It is worth to mention that Taha Hajar had held a number of
positions including a governor of Amran province and Hadramout
province.
