South Korea's 3D industry forms consortium

SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's three-dimensional (3D) industry has
established a consortium to drive further development and deployment of 3D
technologies and contents, industry officials said Monday.

The 20-member consortium led by companies such as Redrover Co., Pro Optics Co.
and Hanjin Information Systems & Telecommunications Co. will actively seek
broader industry participation to enhance the capability of the 3D technologies
while also expanding the range of applications, Redrover said in a statement.
With the official launch of the consortium scheduled for Wednesday, the members
of the consortium will work to cultivate both domestic and overseas markets, the
company said.
