Hyundai Heavy wins US$1.1 bln order for offshore oil facility

SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world's largest
shipyard, said Monday that it has won a deal worth US$1.1 billion to build an oil
platform in Norway.

The deal with ENI Norge AS of Norway calls on Hyundai Heavy to build the floating
production storage and offloading facility by the end of 2013, it said.
The FPSO will be deployed in an oil field located 85 kilometers northwest of
Hammerfest, Norway.
The facility can store as much as 1 million barrels of crude oil. It can also
refine 100,000 barrels of crude oil and produce 4 million metric tons of gas on a
daily basis, according to Hyundai Heavy.
