Samsung C&T wins US$628 mln order for LNG terminal
SEOUL, Feb. 8 (Yonhap) -- Samsung C&T Corp., a South Korean trading company, said
Monday that it has won a deal to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in
Singapore for 730 billion won.
Under the deal with Singapore LNG Corp., Samsung C&T will complete the
construction of the LNG terminal to be used exclusively to export or import LNG
by April 2013, it said.
The terminal to be built on a man-made island off the southwest of the main
island of Singapore, could store and handle 3 million cubic tons of LNG by April
2013, it said.
