SEOUL, Feb. 9 (Yonhap) -- NCsoft Corp., South Korea's leading on-line game developer, said Tuesday its fourth-quarter earnings rose more than 11-fold from a year earlier.

Net profits stood at 71.22 billion won (US$60.77 million) during the three months
ended Dec. 30, compared with 6.42 billion won a year ago, the company said in a
regulatory filing.
Sales almost doubled on year to 197.28 billion won while operating profit also
logged more than a six-fold increase with 87.32 billion won, it said.
The fourth-quarter bottom line marked the highest quarterly net profit and a
fifth straight quarterly rise, according to the developer of Lineage, one of the
world's most popular on-line games.
Shares of NCsoft were trading at 128,000 won on the Seoul bourse as of 9:25 a.m.,

The company ascribed its stellar performance to the popularity of its new game
