Seoul shares trade 0.17 pct higher in late morning
SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.17 percent higher late Wednesday morning as financial gains offset telecom losses, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) added 2.71 points to
1,573.20 as of 11:20 a.m.
Bank and financial shares traded in positive territory lifted by institutional
buying. KB Financial Group, which has top lender Kookmin Bank under its wing,
rose more than 2 percent.
The local currency was trading at 1,156.05 won to the greenback as of 11:20 a.m.,
up 7.75 won from Tuesday's close.
