FRANCE AND UN HAIL CEASEFIRE IN YEMEN

PARIS, Feb.13 (Saba) - France has hailed the peace deal that was
agreed by both the government and the Houthi rebels to ceasefire and
stop the military operations in Saada in north Yemen.

It's really good news about Yemen for French officials" Foreign
ministry spokesman was quoted as saying.

We hope the ceasefire would develop to become a permanent peace
deal, Bernard Valero added.

He also called for mobilizing the efforts of all Yemeni parties to
guarantee the London meeting success and start dealing with the next
phase.

On the other hand, Ban Ki Mon, UN's Secretary General, described the
news by encouraging ones.

Martin Nesirky, spokesman for Ki Mon revealed his hope the ceasefire
be a lasting one to provide a chance to end the six-year war in
Yemen.

The UN still urges to secure the arrival of humanitarian aid to the
displaced from the war, he added.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh ordered on Thursday to stop the
military operations in the northwest region, saying during a meeting
with the Parliament-Shura Committee ,that was formed to supervise
the implementation of the peace deal terms, the order came after the
rebels accepted the terms and the mechanism to implement them.

The ceasefire started Thursday at midnight.
