. Korean Coast Guard seize Chinese fishing boats near Jeju

JEJU ISLAND, South Korea, Feb. 14 (Yonhap) -- The Jeju Coast Guard said Sunday it
has seized two Chinese fishing boats caught poaching in South Korea's exclusive
economic zone (EEZ).
The Chinese vessels were caught fishing at 9:20 a.m. and were all inside South
Korea's EEZ.
Authorities said they were seized 31 kilometers southwest of Marado, the South
Korea's southernmost island, and were found to be using forged fishing permits.
The captains of the boats are being questioned, with legal action to be taken as
a result of the infraction.
