OIC Chief receives Japan's Ambassador 2 Jeddah

During the last Sunday meeting, the Secretary General informed the Ambassador
on OIC's current activities. Their discussion touched on various political
issues including the situation in Palestine, Afghanistan and Somalia.


Moreover, Professor Ihsanoglu highlighted the strong historical relations
between the Muslim World and Japan.


He emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between the OIC Member
States and Japan in the areas of economic cooperation, science, technology,
education and health.


The Secretary General has also expressed his wish for more pro-active
engagement and cooperation between the OIC and Japan.
