Korea Express aims for 2.1 tln won in sales this year

SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- Korea Express Co., South Korea's biggest logistics
firm, said Wednesday that it is targeting 2.1 trillion won (US$1.8 billion) in
sales this year, up 11 percent from a year ago.
The company is also aiming to post an operating profit of 140 billion won this
year, an 11.7 percent increase from the previous year.
The figures were made on a consolidated basis which reflects sales and operating
profits targets set by Korea Express and its two affiliates -- Korea Integrated
Freight Terminal Co. and Asiana Airport Development Co. controlled by the biggest
logistics firm.
On Feb. 1, Korea Express reorganized its business operations to sharpen its
competitive edge.
