S. Korea seeks to host meeting of international nurses' group


SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's first lady Kim Yoon-ok expressed hope
Wednesday that the country will host the 2015 meeting of the international
association of nurses.
Kim delivered the message in a meeting with David Benton, visiting chief
executive officer at the International Council of Nurses (ICN), according to the
presidential office Cheong Wa Dae.
She expressed her gratitude to the ICN for its efforts to enhance the status of
nurses worldwide and improve the global health care system, Cheong Wa Dae said in
a press release.
As the world's first and widest reaching international organization for health
care professionals, ICN said it represents more than 13 million nurses in the
world. It holds a quadrennial conference of representatives from member nations.
