Kan seeks Thai cooperation over Japan`s growth strategy

TOKYO, March 13 Kyodo -
Japanese Finance Minister Naoto Kan sought cooperation from Thailand on
Saturday for Japan's growth strategy based on vibrant Asian economies, a
Japanese official said.
Kan made the call in a meeting at the Ministry of Finance with visiting Thai
Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij, the official told reporters.
Korn briefed Kan about the state of the Thai economy and requested low-interest
yen loans to finance planned projects to build a railway network and bridges,
according to the official.
