Iran's technical & engineering exports hit $2.75b

TEHRAN, March 14 (MNA) – The value of Iranian technical and engineering exports contracts reached $2.75 billion in the 11-month period, started March 21, 2009.

According to Trade Promotion Organization Deputy Director Kyumars Fathollah-Kermanshahi, Iran has signed a total of 63 contracts with 14 countries around the world over the first 11 months of 1388 (to end March 20, 2010).

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Libya, Oman, Belarus, Armenia, etc, are among the countries having technical and engineering contracts with Iran, he explained.

He noted that service increased 11 percent in the period compared to same period last year.

The Iranian official predicted that technical and engineering services exported will reach $3 billion dollars by the end of the Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2010).
