Iran to play Australia in Asian Youth Volleyball Championship
TEHRAN, March 14 (MNA) -- Iran will face Australia in the 8th Asian Youth Boys’ Volleyball Championship.
The tournament will take in Tehran from May 13 to 21 with the participation of 10 teams divided into two groups.
The top four teams in each group will advance to the next stage. The champion will represent Asia in the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games which will be held from August 14 to 26.
The tournament’s top two teams will book a berth in the 2011 Youth World Championship.
Drawing of lots:
Pool A: Iran, China, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Australia
Pool B: Japan, India, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Thailand
