Iran ready to mediate between Hamas & Fatah
TEHRAN, March 16 (MNA) – A Foreign Ministry source has announced that Iran is ready to mediate between Hamas and Fatah to resolve disagreements between the two rival Palestinian groups.
“Iran’s principled stance is seeking reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah in order to help the realization of the Palestinian cause (the liberation of the occupied lands),” the foreign ministry official said on Sunday.
He made the remarks in response to the recent allegations by the Fatah chief, Mahmoud Abbas, claiming that Iran provokes discord between Fatah and Hamas.
