ARDEBIL, March 16 (MNA) -- A strong windstorm swept over the northwestern province of Ardebil on Tuesday.
The storm had winds of 110 kilometers per hour and caused a blackout in the city of Ardebil.
Strong gusts raised dust in the city and broke a number of trees.
Residents were asked to stay indoors.
Sarein, Namin, and Meshkinshahr were among the cities that were affected by the strong winds.
Ardebil Province has seen similar storms over the past week.
Provincial officials say excessive logging is the cause of the recent marked rise in storms and dust in Ardebil.
