Iran condemns Moscow metro terrorist attack

TEHRAN, March 30 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman here on Tuesday strongly condemned Monday’s terrorist attack on Moscow subway.

“The Islamic Republic strongly condemns tragic bomb blasts in Moscow metro that claimed the lives of a number of innocent Russian people and injured several others,” Ramin Mehmanparast said.

The spokesman called grim determination and concerted cooperation of all countries, regional states in particular, of great importance to fighting against such terrorist activities.

Two powerful blasts rocked Lubyanka and Park Kultury subway stations of Moscow on March 29th morning. According to Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, the blast killed 35 and wounded 65 others.

The twin blasts were the second deadliest attack against the Moscow metro system which is one of the busiest in the world.

The first blast ripped through a crowded subway carriage car six years ago also during the morning rush hour and killed 42 people and wounded more than 250 others.
