Iranian art show underway in Damascus

TEHRAN, Apr. 3 (MNA) -- An exhibition of paintings opened at the Al-Mazzeh Center in Damascus on March 30.

Twenty-three tableaus loaned by Iranian fine arts museums have been put on display at the 15-day exhibit.

The opening ceremony of the art show was attended by the Syrian Deputy Culture Minister Muhammad Taraki al-Seyid and Iranian cultural attaché’s assistant in Syria Mehdi Khaledzadeh.

The showcase contains artworks which are manifestation of Iran’s dignity and rich art and civilization especially the contemporary arts, Al-Seyid said, adding that holding such exhibition promotes the cultural exchanges between two countries.

The artworks were previously been showcased in various exhibits in Italy, Britain, and the Netherlands.
