Iran to face Saudi Arabia and UAE in ACL next week
TEHRAN, Apr. 6 (MNA) -- Sepahan is to play Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia while the other Iranian representative Mes faces Al Ahli of the UAE on the next Tuesday as part of the ACL championship.
Sepahan of Isfahan will host the Saudi Arabian outfit in Group C at the Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium. Amir Ghalenoei’s team is third with five points behind Al Shabab and Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan, with seven and six points respectively.
Mes is scheduled to face minnows Al Ahli of the UAE in Group D at the Rashid Stadium. Mes is also third in the group with six points. Already qualified Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia is in top place with 10 points, and Al Sadd of Qatar is second with six points on goal difference.
Esteghlal and Zob Ahan will also face Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli and the UAE’s Al Wehda respectively on Wednesday. Esteghlal lies top of Group A with eight points and Zob Ahan is top of Group B having 10 points.
