President Ahmadinejad warns Obama not to follow Bush’s path

TEHRAN, Apr. 8 (MNA) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned U.S. President Barack Obama not to follow the path of his predecessor, George W. Bush.
“If Obama intends to follow in Bush’s footsteps, the (world) nations’ response will be the same crushing response they gave to Bush,” he said on Wednesday in an address to thousands of people in Urmia, West Azerbaijan Province.
Ahmadinejad added that Obama is “saying words that even Bush did not utter.”
Even Bush, who was involved in the slaughter of nations and was the most hated official in the United States, did not utter such words, he said.
The Iranian president also stated that Obama’s recent remarks, in which he threatened to use nuclear weapons against those who do not follow the U.S., is a “cowboy” stance adopted because he is “inexperienced” and a “novice” in the political arena.
Ahmadinejad advised Obama to wait until his “sweat dries” and he gathers some experience in politics before making such remarks.
He stated that Obama is under pressure by Zionists and materialists and cannot adopt a proper stance.
The U.S. government released its “Nuclear Posture Review” last week, which the administration called a manifesto "achieving substantial further nuclear force reductions."
Although it explicitly states that all non-nuclear weapons states are immune from nuclear attack, the statement reserves the use of using nuclear weapons against countries like Iran and North Korea, labeled as outliers in the paper.
Also, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that non-nuclear states that abide by the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty would not be threatened with nuclear retaliation by the United States -- even if they conducted conventional, biological, or cyber attacks.
However, he added, “if you’re not going to play by the rules, if you’re going to be a proliferator, then all options are on the table in terms of how we deal with you,” the New York Times reported.
